Transformation is a Process

March, 08 2018 by Katie

Many of us tend to use the word process casually, such as “change is a process.” With this statement, we understand that the change requires steps but, we also view it as a mystery and find ourselves guessing our way through the “process.”

This was the case in my own financial transformation. I didn’t have a formula to follow and was just hunting and guessing at what change to make. It was an experiment where I would make a change or try something and then wait and see if it worked. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn’t. It was exhausting to create change in this way and some days I wanted to give up and quit. Some days, it just didn’t feel worth it.

But, a process is meant to be a formula or a recipe, a series of steps and actions, that you can apply to get from where you are to where you want to be!

Do you know the steps for financial transformation?

What if we could be proactive and plan the process of our financial transformation? What if we could create a logical and efficient set of instructions and steps to focus our energy on.

The Monarch Method does just that!

The Monarch Method is a set of principles and guiding steps that allow you to find your perspective and focus to plan where you are going on your financial transformation. This focus allows you to identify and use your resources in a way that will maximize your success.

Without a specific process to follow, transformation can be difficult and frustrating, like it was for me. It may feel like you are wandering lost in the dark which will not produce the change you were hoping for!

To find the focus and perspective you need we need to start with the most important questions:

Why is this transformation so important to you?
Why are you embarking on this journey?
What change do you want to create?

Answering these questions helps you begin to create the focus for your future. This helps identify where you need to make change in your life. Financial transformation starts with knowing who you are and what you want in your life. Once you know this you can decide what changes you need to make in your life.

This is where the work begins! Now that you know what you want in life, what do you need to change to make it happen? Do you need to change how you earn money? Do you need to change how you spend your money? Are you ready to make the hard decisions that will move your closer to your vision and your goals?

For me, my financial transformation meant shifting every inch of my financial life including where I lived, what I drove, what I did to earn money and where I spent my money. There was no stone left unturned in my financial transformation.

There were times that all the change felt overwhelming. I was left wondering if it was all worth it. To stay inspired on my journey and to stay committed to myself and my vision I looked to books, music, and movies for inspiration and what I found is that there is inspiration everywhere, even in the most unlikely places.

You have probably heard of the movie Moana and you may have even seen it. If so, you may remember a scene towards the end of the movie where Moana is frustrated and ready to give up. She has travelled across the ocean, convinced demigod Maui to return the heart he stole from Te Fiti, but when they tried to return it to Te Ka, the demon of fire and magma that Te Fiti turned into without her heart, they failed. Moana felt defeated and demoralized and was crying in tears ready to give up. Thankfully, Moana’s grandmother appeared to her and asked her to remember who she is and why she began this journey. In the song “I am Moana”, Moana remembers who she and acknowledges how far she has come.

“I've delivered us to where we are
I have journeyed farther
I am everything I've learned and more
Still it calls me
And the call isn't out there at all, it's inside me
It's like the tide; always falling and rising
I will carry you here in my heart you'll remind me
That come what may
I know the way”

What does Moana have to do with financial transformation?

Well, if along the way you find yourself frustrated, tired or like giving up, ask who you are and what you are here to do.

Reaffirm your commitment to yourself.

Acknowledge how far you have come!

Remember your vision.
Remember your dream.
Remember your goal!

You can do it!
